You Are Inconsolable

you are inconsolable

you are inconsolable
these days, a ticking
solitude, a broken
signal. you fold yourself
into a long
drought to prevent
those around you
from sharing
a drink. you install anger
into your fixtures
and switch them on
and off during
the night to scare
away recognition. the
flickering keeps us
on our toes
.
