Simon Ortiz and Sherman Alexie will be appearing at the UW Faculty Club
today, Tuesday, October 10, 2000. Sherman Alexie will provide a brief
introduction for Simon Ortiz, who will be reading from his work. The
reading starts at 7:30 p.m. tonight and a book signing will follow. As
always, this event is free and open to everyone.
This is a great opportunity to meet the author and enjoy his poetry and
prose. We encourage a large audience and look forward to an enjoyable
evening.

I can imagine how it went, but wow, those lucky stiffs who attended! I live in Tacoma, so I don't hear about, or get to attend things 75 miles north in Seattle.
