While cremation itself is a designated burning after passing, this leaves a deeper, more morbid image, unplanned, absorbed by an inferno such as the most recent losses in CA, and even a few years back in Rhode Island, or even of those who serve who have found themselves in the harm's way of a bomb blast. Yes, this captures that true darkness, for sure.Ginny Brannanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15298060016652737538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6327165758377801408.post-43241767441040725192016-12-06T00:48:43.425-08:002016-12-06T00:48:43.425-08:00Such a powerfully penned quad!❤️ Good to see you a...Such a powerfully penned quad!❤️ Good to see you again, Glenn Sanaa Rizvihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06681404650477409830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6327165758377801408.post-77848071861993333102016-12-05T23:13:24.955-08:002016-12-05T23:13:24.955-08:00Strong stuff this.Strong stuff this.Petru J Viljoenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04821468855056711841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6327165758377801408.post-2113118740777054942016-12-05T21:36:30.127-08:002016-12-05T21:36:30.127-08:00it is so vivid...powerful...gave a feeling of some...it is so vivid...powerful...gave a feeling of something in make against all odds...Sreejahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01395234979504881964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6327165758377801408.post-41078766527645577952016-12-05T16:43:24.499-08:002016-12-05T16:43:24.499-08:00first bright and

I love the alliterative oxymoron, 'bleaches bone black' and the repetition of 'beyond', both of which seem to drive the poem. I also love the progression of sounds from labial plosives - 'protoplasm, pulp' to the hissing of 'sinew / sentinel and soul' - like spitting out the gristle or the spitting of fat in fire! <br />Kim M. I have to confess, of all your poetry, I love your quadrilles best. When you are forced to choose your words so deliberately to fit the grand scope of your thoughts into just 44 words the results are always astounding.AnotherFearlessYear.nethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11189052349065089513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6327165758377801408.post-22784994891247060062016-12-05T12:20:04.822-08:002016-12-05T12:20:04.822-08:00Okay.... so jet lagged here....but I had to read y...Okay.... so jet lagged here....but I had to read your poem first. It is, as always, amazing! The repetition of the word "beyond" sends it even further beyond. And the repetition of the s sound makes me hear the hissing of the fire. This is quite powerful. <br />So good to be back from our Australia, New Zealand and Singapore journey. Someone said "glad to have you back" so I take it you've been away as well. Hope all is well with you --- by these words, I'd say yes!lillianthehomepoet.wordpress.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12664830773553716989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6327165758377801408.post-69723689887919363162016-12-05T12:09:23.530-08:002016-12-05T12:09:23.530-08:00This is a wonderful poem, filled with darkness, bu...This is a wonderful poem, filled with darkness, but also a hope that's almost like a Phoenix... wonderful, and so nice to have you back again.brudberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12563403553536472377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6327165758377801408.post-43544265090649345432016-12-05T12:07:39.326-08:002016-12-05T12:07:39.326-08:00Glenn, as always is the case with your work, the s...Glenn, as always is the case with your work, the sounds within are fantastic: <br />"protoplasm, pulp and sinew,<br />sentinel and soul" <br /><br />I can feel this pulsing.
