ELLIPSE
Two lips that meet
for an instant,
moist
and fleeting,
then again
and again,
and once more,
hard,
for a lifetime.
Lips writhing,
tongues dueling,
awakening the beasts,
clappers toiling,
stomachs growling,
breasts heaving,
drums pounding,
candles bursting,
eyes closed,
eyes open;
two people,
one mouth,
one thought,
one moment of embrace,
leading to
one journey,
becoming
one organism.
