Pool Epics

Isn't it interesting, that the posting I just finished, titled RACK 'EM AND SMACK 'EM, I failed to "mention" the actual title of the film I was reviewing. That film is:

POOL HALL JUNKIES (2003).

I liked it a lot, as the review suggests. There is a short lexicon of "pool" movies, and this one stand tall. Some of the Pool Epics I recall are:
1. POOL SHARKS (1915) with W.C. Fields.
2. THE HUSTLER (1961) Directed by Robert Rossen, with Paul Newman, George C. Scott, and Jackie Gleason as Minnesota Fats.
3. LO, CHIARA E LO SCURO --THE POOL HUSTLER (1982) Italian film directed by Maurizio Pouzi.
4. THE COLOR OF MONEY (1986) Director Martin Scorsese's sequel to THE HUSTLER, with Paul Newman and Tom Cruise.
5. POOL HALL JUNKIES (2003) Directed by Mars Callahan, with him, Christopher Walken, Rod Steiger, and Chazz Palimenteri.
6. KISSES AND CAROMS (2006) Directed by Vincent Rocca.

So, next time I will endeavor to stave off my CRS and ADD and get the damned title right on the posting.
