Mother Earth

mother earth

i am one that feels so much
my heart becomes a sacred place
a look, a smile, a gentle touch
i am graced amongst the stars

in love i fall to all that is
with wings so vast i embrace you all
and send the sun to warm yourselves
and feel the power of the clouds

but maybe it is the moon that phases

i feel the weight of painfulness
the thoughts they careless toss
i'm blue and bruised with careless ways
although they feign innocent like
it can't be me that hurts her so

like a knife razor sharp
it stabs and rips apart my heart
watch the blood run down my breast
and puddle slowly at your feet

i am weak from evil thoughts
i feel my eyes tearing up
you watch as they flow over
into the rains upon your lands
you dare to gasp at the floods

the pressure builds to near explosion
but i roll and rock the earth instead
shaking off the soot of life
that nests inside your mind

there are those that heed the call
and find themselves in service
tending the gardens of this life
thinking only beauty thoughts
my soul is linked to them

could you come and kiss me now
and dance around the green
heal me now with your love
because love is all there is

with love, mother earth
