She Lives Forever

SHE LIVES FOREVER...

The heart is as strong as iron
Beating softly in calm, and hurriedly in a rush.
But the heart is also as fragile as a butterfly's wing
And is bruised easily.

When the heart stops beating too soon in our lives,
We mourn, we tear our clothing, we cry,
While the person we mourn watches us with joy and laughter.
They dry our tears and heal our bruises.

They show us the light from the darkness we feel
They give us glimpses of what they want us to cherish.
Their smiles linger within our hearts.
Their words guide us gently so we may hear their whispers.

They now soar with the birds towards infinity and love,
We hear them in the winds, we see them in the rainbows,
And we touch them in our dreams and hold them tight.
They stay with us forever.

So when you see a gull, a falcon, or an eagle
See it fly with joy, with patience, and with joy.
See it spiral upward towards peace, towards tranquility.
And remember the words and songs of those before us.

******
This was written as a death song for White_Lace,
someone who showed me laughter, who gave me so much more
then I can tell you. She loved us all, but I don't know
if she knew how much she is missed by all.

Kim soar high, watch us with laughter,
and dry all our tears. Be there
and touch all of us today, tonight, and forever....
