Spirit Dance

Spirit Dance


His spirit dances
with the song
of the wind
as it plays
like a flute
soaring to heights
only he can see.
His heart pounds
with the sound
of drums
each beat
carrying with it
the strength to dance
with the song
of the wind.
He dances
to his time when
flute and drum meet
and play in unison
the melody
that was inside him
all along
and carry with him
as brave and warrior meet
the dance of
the Spirit dance.
