hardly like a hairline

hardly like a hairline
in a porcelain cup, a good
crack in the tub lends
character while never
preventing a bath
from safely absorbing
these astringent days.
a patiently drawn
bath, with
its captivating crack,
always waits for
the soft reveal.
and like cured
bodies, we unwrap
ourselves differently,
with some requiring
more infusions to restore
.
