The Hoosier Behind the Willow Curtain

Tess Kincaid:
The Hoosier behind the Willow Curtain.

Many of you have figured out that I have stumbled
onto the blog site that has peaked my poetic personal
interest, and that would be
LIFE AT WILLOW MANOR
. The mistress of the blog
and the site is Miss Willow. I alerted the media as to
her site, and some of her quotes and comments
a couple weeks ago.

She also is the keeper and editor and mistress for

MAGPIE TALES,
a cross between
Harry Potter's sorting hat, and Walt Whitman's writer's
diary. Calling all poets is the hue'n'cry, for she, an
accomplished poet herself, has created a literary hybrid,
part Chapbook, and part Poetry Writing workshop,
with a healthy dose of loving fellowship thrown in.
I asked her if she was on Facebook,
only discovering by fingering and clicking through
her archives that Willow Manor is in Ohio, and
feeling immediately that her patronage and
friendship were valuable commodities.

So the good news is that for those of you brave
enough to "Friend" her, her actual handle, her
given name is Tess Kincaid; which she devulges
on the sidebar of Willow Manor if one notices;
which I didn 't at first.

From her Facebook page:

Basic Info
Sex: Female

Relationship Status: Married

Bio I am a self-proclaimed magpie, poet, Hoosier by birth, who lives in small town Ohio at Willow Manor, a ramshackle limestone house on the banks of the Scioto River, with my husband and resident ghosts.

Favorite Quotations To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. Ralph Waldo Emerson

So everyone do yourself a favor, and jump onto this site like
moths to the flame. She burns hot, and is hard to resist,
but you will find you survive, and are the better for it.

Well, you've certainly been doing your homework, my friend. I'm very flattered, indeed.
