A gloved hand
is gentle, fickle,
like the soft wing
of an enigmatic bird.
One clandestine touch,
a tickle, the apocalypse
of taut leather and cashmere
ignites passion faster
than plywood of a naked
palm. Though embraced
a thousand times, still
it becomes the smooth
kidskin psalm, sung
by a beautiful stranger;
a splendid woolgathering,
that eats away the heart.
