The Empty Chair

The Empty Chair

Where is the truth,
the actual essence
of the problems
or real solutions for them
in this country?

Jesus,
we pick a President
like we pick a sports team
a favorite tavern
or a one night stand--
with our hormones,
that have been honed and molded
with a lifetime of predispositions,
double-speak and demogogarie.

  2. Glen...if I may be so bold...I watched your President address your nation last evening...and I was moved to tears...here we have Harper...and you don't want to get me started...that empty chair will haunt us for decades...I am not one for party politics, picking a system or a team...the entire world is broken, and until we work together, so it will remain...You guys sure throw a better party than we do...I'll give you that!

  3. i thought it rather funny an offstage interview with one of the speakers at the RNC was asked how they were actually going to do some of the things they talked about...and their reply was something like....'um i cant talk about that right now.'

Good golly, Glenn. You hit the nail on the head. Fantastic expression of truth. With our hormones indeed.

I have a new word list up; would love for you to come write again. Sometimes people ask for new words toward the end of the week, so I throw out an extra list. You have any free time?
