Would you like to hear the author read these Collom Lunes to you?
dude...love the first one....and would love to hear that dragon purr....
ReplyDeleteand the thomas one with the leaf, that grabbed me too...
some cool little images that still carry quite a bit of meaning...
didn't know you were a haiku man Glenn .. that first one is just awesome.. the briefness in those little pebbles.. I just love them (and write them quite a lot).. I think in those brief images we can sometimes capture more than all the ramblings in the world... :-)
ReplyDeleteoh i love the one with the leaf embrace specifically... what a wonderful image glenn
ReplyDeleteExactly. I'm with Brian. The leaf hugging Thomas took my top spot over the golden dragon, but I was tickled by all.
ReplyDeleteThe first three poems are my favorite ones. You have packed a lot in those three short lines in each of them. This is quite amazing.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your whole series, Glenn. Cool about the dragons disguising themselves as Hudsons. And the leafy embrace certainly is touching.
ReplyDeleteLovely lunes Glenn, I can't pick a favorite ~
ReplyDeletei wish i my car was a dragon too.. maybe a red one!! :) how awsome would that be!
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful set..the leaf-embrace touches deeply...
ReplyDeleteVery nice use of surrealism and symbolism here in these haiku - a very personal style. They go very well with the images, and a favourite doesn't apply here, as each is saying a lot.
ReplyDeleteI love the variety of poems here, the tones and subject matter. The broken crosses ... damn, that one is a punch to the gut. Great take on the prompt.
ReplyDeletegreat series, Glenn! Dug that broken cross masking aching hearts... I'm not a religious guy, but I've always had a thing for cross imagery...
ReplyDeleteYou make it seem simple! Each image is a success, moving and articulate and evocative. My favorites are the golden dragon and the abstract bridges.
ReplyDeleteThese are all very special.
ReplyDeleteMore bridges are concrete!
Awsome how you attached meaning in few words to the lovely pictures. I loved it.
ReplyDeleteOoh, clever...I too like the dragons in the first - good stuff :)
ReplyDeleteVery artfully done, and I like the way you wove the 'story fragments' around the pictures.
ReplyDeleteSo artistically clever and brilliantly written.
ReplyDeleteI love your views on life...excellent!
:)
Love the dragon and the leaf esp.
ReplyDeleteI love all of these especially because you used your own photos, Glenn. Love that beautiful, golden Hudson...I'll bet it does purr.
ReplyDeleteoh Glenn - love the leaf embrace - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed them all but really like the Golden Dragon--except it needs a superhero behind the wheel to complete the image.
ReplyDeleteThat is some golden dragon in disguise. I enjoyed reading all of these and I can't help but, like the leaf embrace.
ReplyDeleteGolden dragons… took my breath away, the leaf blanketing that headstone so precious - All are clever - you are usually long-winded (in a good way) but you handle short just as brilliantly.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely! Love the bridge picture!
ReplyDeleteBrief but bold images, Glenn! Especially like the leaf embrace and the abstract bridges...cool.
ReplyDeleteThese are all impressive Clever. I love the abstract hridge.
ReplyDeletecool - I just took a bridge pic like that the other day.
ReplyDeleteYou excel in the short verse as well.
beautiful pictures..the leaf one is too good..nice lunes..
ReplyDeleteyou do snippets so well, Glenn ~
ReplyDeleteThe golden dragon would be fun. Vintage cars are rare. If available they are expensive too! Great pics and haiku set Glenn!
