lethal for cats,

as to why
a white rabbit

I think a rabbit carrying a watch would make me curious as well... but I assume it would be hard for me to get into such a rabbit hole... So I guess i would dive into the hole of conspiracy theories relating to rabbits instead.

ReplyDeleteI love your message in the poem, telling us the curiosity always changes us in some way or another...sort of like losing your virginity! You are never the same again! Love the poem and the way you wove Alice's curiosity and the rabbit's watch together so well!
ReplyDeleteGlenn, you're right, some things are better left unknown. Yet how are we to grow without the experiences of those hero's journeys?

ReplyDeleteGreat poem. Curiosity and temptation are close cousins. And we never know where some holes might lead!
Y'know, you make a great point there. Sometimes, our curiosity can bring knowledge, even experiences, that will change us and who we are; never the same. Just as curiously, we should wonder if the change was for the better or worse. We can think of the consequences, visualize them, but perhaps not fully understand them until after we are changed by our choices or actions. Brilliantly written with beautiful, impactful imagery.
