Erotic Dissonance

Erotic Dissonance

“The truth shall set you free”--John 8:32

If you are raped

by a celebrity,

        supervisor,

        husband or

        stranger,

will you become free

of your guilt

and anger

if you reveal

your rapist?

#MeToo aside,

it’s still a Sausage Fest,

             Man’s World,

             Boy’s Club

out there.

“He”

and his lawyers,

will assassinate your character.

You will be labeled a slut,

                                  whore,

                                   liar.

                                   gold digger,

just another resentful, disturbed,

ex-employee,

or they will claim

that the sex was

consensual.

It’s like

if the authorities question

your innocence or sanity,

how can you prove it?

I must say

that reporting the rape

decades after the incident

seems a bit tidy

and opportunistic, but

generally I side with the women,

because a stiff cock knows nothing of morality.

  2. No morality, even in eensy weensy mushroom shaped ones. (Or especially.) A woman's truth can resonate clawfully.

  4. WOW. You put it so succinctly, so punchily, this is quite a thought bomb, Glenn. And then of course, it may be consensual but then isn't it just consensual rape given the context? Thank you for your no-holds-barred honesty.

  5. Glenn like I said earlier, so glad to hear your voice again. In a bit of coincidence I just started watching a Showtime series on Bill Cosby. If you have Showtime, please watch it. The person who put this together gives a comprehensive view on just how that p.o.s. was able to get away with it for all of those years. It is mind-boggling what they show through his comments on tv shows, cartoons, books, etc. that pretty much was crowing about how to roofie and encouraging even kids, planting those ideas in their minds. If there ever was evil on this planet, men abusing the vulnerable, be it women, other men, or kids, is about the worst manifestation of it out there. I about fell over when he was released from prison!

  6. Sadly, the truth does not set you free in this situation! So many choices and consequences to consider. It is easy to see what it continues unchecked! Well done Glenn.

  8. Goodness this is powerful writing here, Glenn! I agree, it does seem a "bit tidy and opportunistic," considering so much time has passed. Perhaps there is more to the story. Like you, I side with women too. 💝💝

  9. Given the cost of a woman having to fight such a battle (even if she wins) I find it hard to believe that her story to be false (except if it's a custody battle)

  10. Spot on my brother. Any position of power or influence used to victimize another, is wholly despicable. Unfortunately, it is too often the human tendency in this imperfect world.
