Mick SonofMick:
Man, your life is complicated. OK. No sweat on the change of opening dates. You need to recheck your calendar, big goy boy. That would be Friday, the 27th, and Sunday the 29th. And what about Saturday the 29th? Anyway, it is a moot point, because that weekend Melva and I will be in Pac Beach for the whole time. So that takes us to the 2nd weekend of the the 5 Week run, on May 4, (Friday), 5 & 6. Are the showtimes still 7:30pm Friday night, and Saturday night, with a 2pm matinee on Sunday? No matinee on Saturday? As to the Pizza date, that might work just fine too, if sweet Melva goes for it.
Whatever --Break a Leg, as they say, and Good Show!!!! I am sure you will dazzle the critics and curry the favor of the audiences, Sir Mick.
Our MICK & BUTT SHOW is kind of not keeping up with its parameters. I did not ask you enough questions, I guess, on the last email. So I will just start a new posting and inquiry line. First off let us discuss Robert Taylor's THE DETECTIVES (1959-1962). What was Robert Taylor's lead character's name? What was the name of the great city that it took place in? It ran for three seasons, and of course is not available on VHS or DVD. The pirates have it though. If you look hard enough for it. The story line always had Taylor working with a squad of three detectives. The second and third lead characters were Lt. Johnny Russo, and Sgt. Steve Nelson. What actors played them. Some of the actors who appeared were Johnny Seven, Michael Parks, Vera Miles, Harold J. Stone, and John Anderson.
The next series to consider was WATERFRONT (1954-1956). Who played Captain John Herreck, and what was his Tugboat's name? There were 78 30-minute episodes. What city did they use the harbor for on the series? He had two sons, who played the police detective son? Who played his wife, Mary? Who played his #2 son? Ernest Borgnine did some guest shots on the show.
The next series was the Western, THE RESTLESS GUN (1957-59), also 78 30-minute episodes. We know that John Payne was the star. What was his character's name? What famous TV playhouse did the pilot show air on in 1957? They based the show on a radio series, on in 1953-54, so what was that radio series called, and what famous star was the lead character? Who played Payne's femme on the show, Miss Ana? There were two back up characters on the TV series. Who played El Burro? Who played Lex Springer? What veteran character actor played Doc Kemmer. There were a lot of guest stars, like Morgan Woodward, James Coburn, Jack Elam, Robert Fuller, and Edgar Buchanan.
Good job on the titty twanger, sir:
Jill St. John in TONY ROMA with Frank Sinatra.
Sinatra in LIST OF ADRIAN MESSENGER with Robert Mitchum.
Mitchum in CAPE FEAR with Gregory Peck.
I took a different trail, pardner:
Jill St. John was in REMARKABLE MR. PENNYPACKER (1959) with Ron Ely.
Ron Ely was in TARZAN'S DEADLY SILENCE (1970) with Woody Strode.
Woody Strode was in PORK CHOP HILL (1959) with Gregory Peck.
Both of us nailed it in (3).
Your assignment to me, to get from George Gobel to Elliott Gould was a corker.
George Gobel THE INVISIBLE WOMAN (1983) with David Doyle.
David Doyle was in MY BOYS ARE GOOD BOYS (1977) with Lloyd Nolan.
Lloyd Nolan was in AIRPORT (1970) with a very brief Elliott Gould.
Your job is to get from Robert Taylor to Babe Ruth.
So good show, you craxy thespian you, and talk to you soon.
Glenn the Kid, who was not shot down by Pat Garrett. Mick
Yes, that was the standard line Spencer Tracy told to all aspiring show biz types! He was a genius at memorization and impromptu lines but in his younger days he was so drunk at rehearsals noboby knew he was drunk until he tripped over the props and that is where film critics never knew what he was talking about! Because of my optical proplems, I tripped over the furniture and forgot a couple of my lines but this weekend everything was back to normal again.
Good job on your last trivia and now I remember Lee Marvin and the Pall Malls. Due to big bucks the opening night has been pushed back one week. Thursday the 26th has been bought out by the hospital crowd and Sat the 28th was bought out by a private community group so that will give you more time to recover from your medical situation! So Fri the 28th and Sunday the 30th will be the first public nights and for the next 5 weekends. My roomate and I would love to go out with you and Melva for a Pizza down the street after a show if you guys can make it and the BS Is allowed to flow freely.
Okay, Jill St John was in Tony Roma with Frank Sinatra,
Frank was in the list of Adrian's Messinger with Bob Mitchum,
Mitch was in Cape Fear with Gregory Peck!
Your job Sir Glenlackalot is to get from George Goble to Elliot Gould!
Regards: The Tipster of reality, Mickalongshot!
