Lost Spurs

Lost Spurs

“Film acting is really the trick of doing moments. You
earn your spurs by acting on stage.”--Sam Shepard.

Damn.

I lost track of time,
quiet as cat’s feet, silent as
butterfly wings; just no

Warning that Open Link
Night was upon us--so my
BLACKTHORNE saga waits.

Now a string of cute
tanka/haiku will have to
suffice; just my Bad.

Summer breezes flutter
maple leaves and robin’s flight;
sun smiling in clouds.

Oh.. so sad that you missed the time. Two weeks from now, I so look forward to the next installment. Love your offering of small poems, especially the last one

It is good to see you Glenn! I have missed you but I have been hanging at Real Toads these few months. I love these small poems, these small stones stacked by the river.I too especially like the last poem.

Time is "quiet as cat’s feet" and "silent as
butterfly wings".

So wonderful to see you back at the pub, Glenn, and thanks for the Sam Shepard quote. I love the lines:
'I lost track of time,
quiet as cat’s feet, silent as
butterfly wings'.
I can wait another week or so for some more Blackthorne - it'll be worth it ;)
