Paper Cuts
“The Chinese do not wash themselves after doing
their necessities, they wipe themselves with paper.”
--Arab traveller 851 A.D.
For centuries,
men wrote, drew
and painted
on animal skins.
The Egyptians
gave us papyrus
four centuries
before Christ.
The Chinese
invented paper
in 220 A.D.
Europe
didn’t get it
before the
eleventh century.
I wonder
if Cro-Magnon
ever painted porn
for fun?

Ha! That last line made me laugh out loud, Glenn. A fun history lesson in paper.
Excellent piece my friend. You gut punched me with that closing Glenn. Mentally doubled over — laughing… 😉
Well I know that they carved sex into stone... don't know if it's porn but check this one out

There has always been porn.
I got a kick out of this, Glenn. I know they now make TP out of bamboo, so maybe we've come full circle?
LOL was not expecting that last line.
Happy you dropped by to read mine

Surely there are some phallic cave paintings or somesuch to be discovered...
So funny, Glenn. I wasn't expecting that ending.
your ending took me by surprise great
Great history of paper, and a summatory humorous question. Kudos
Many early etchings and art depicted nakedness. So, the answer to your question may be, yes.
Actually - that's interesting - I wonder if they masturbated... My guess is that they just took their women whenever they wanted to, TBH. I know that's crass, but I don't think the women had much say in those times.
