Just Bill
“Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart
people into thinking they can’t lose.”--Bill Gates.
He felt like the King of the Road.
He adhered to the Muscle Code.
He had Chevrolet Impala
on his chest; gold crayola
fenders, 396 mill,
rag top, 4-speed--name was Bill.
He felt like the King of the Road.
He adhered to the Muscle Code.

Such smooth and expertly wrought rhymes here, Glenn! You rocked the prompt! 💖💖
Love the quote inspiration and your response in the form of Octelle. Car was spot on. I am smiling to the Muscle Code.
Sounds like he's compensating for something, lol! Enjoyed reading this, Glenn. You flesh out characters so well :-)

I'm from Detroit where muscle cars are king, so I'm pretty sure I've met Bill or someone just like him.
Wow so well done!!!
Luv the opening quote.
Happy Thursday.
Much💖love
Clever little Octelle! Great title and quote to rev it up.
"He had Chevrolet Impala on his chest" is a great line in a fine tribute octelle to a swell muscle car. I miss those old chrome king boats.
He's flexing his muscles ready to roll.
Wonderful use of personification. I haven't read too many poems about muscle cars. So, this was refreshing.
I think this octelle gets my award for "most fun to read" ~ I love it, Glenn!
Much love,

You brought this bad boy to life with the tools of the Octelle. Nice one.
Ooh! Love the muscled display, Glenn! Fantastic.
Loved this Glenn, read like a folk ode — “Impala Bill”! Loved my rag tops, had a number of ‘em brother — my rollin’ love nests… 😏✌🏼❤️
A fun octelle. Enjoyed it very much.
Like where this prompt took you, Glenn!
