this is the White House
that fears poetry

this is the President
who says, “what’s the difference”

this is the country
that attacks without provocation

this is the Constitution
systematically dismantled

this is our children
left behind to pay the bill

this is our friends
slapped in the face

this is your dreams
sold to the highest bidder

this is two rabid dogs running free
named Arrogance and Greed
