Delicacies of War

Delicacies of War

surely Sun Tzu would take a piece
of polished glass to peer through
in an attempt to see the details of
the intricate web of lies covering
Bush’s eternal gift to the world
war without end war without reason
or perhaps he would astonish
the royal court and rotate the glass
focusing the rays of the sun to burn
through filaments exposing a
one-thousand year old egg
none have the stomach to crack
the shell and the spider has
been crushed in the commotion
which reveals millennium’s stench
