It’s 7AM America, Time to Wake Up
at what point do we realize
there is no other side
of the world
it is a big ball with
only one side – one skin
on what day do we see
the Afghan and Iraqi
awake in the middle of the night
like you and me
feeling angry and helpless – brothers in pain
in what intersection do we look up
and see the cameras watching
and ask who is
watching and why
and say enough – demand our privacy
at what war do we stop giving
our support to the demons
intent on death
and show support for
the soldier
by bringing him home
to finish his life
a whole man – our son
