flames are all that is required
to pull the thumbs
off
a free society
flames and the redefining of
any and all words
that describe
the enemy

two large matchsticks
are lit
in a state of emergency
rules are tossed
to the side of the road
like the carcass
of a holiday turkey
what is that sound
I hear
it is corporations
goose-stepping through
my neighborhood
I recognize
who is out front
of the drones
in uniforms
even without
his fucking mustache
