Obama Wept
I love it
when I get up
in the morning and find out
that President Barack Obama
actually wept
the day after re-election,
while in Chicago
addressing his youthful staff
of several hundred;
the man is a real mensch,
saying,
“The most important thing
you need to know
is that your journey
is just beginning.”

Wonderful 55.
Did you see the video - behind the picture? Probably - but here's the link if you didn't - it's very moving.

Just beginning?
THATS a spooky thought!
Well at least he's Human...
Loved your crybaby 55 Glenn
Sorry about your 55 a couple of weeks back that I couldn't find lost in your archives.
This one I found PERFECT!
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End
You don't even want to know how I read this. I'm pretty sure it's entirely different than anyone else. And if I'm on point, then you are quite clever.
... I wept too. ;P
A resurrection indeed....
The sky is bluer and the grass is greener and the sun more luminously golden and the air being breathed a little bit cleaner and more deliciously cool and more sweetly scented and clear than ever. The leaves are happily tremulous and the shadows dancing and the earth heaving up waves of loamy dark intoxicating vintage scentage. Clouds gloriously feather the bright sky and birds are gracefully spiring in the vaulted heavens and the fish are joyously rolling in the water. Snow is glittering brightly and meadows are lustily dewy. Colours are brighter and every sound is a carillon bell joyously reverberating across the ends of the earth and with every breath the earth is revived. Thoughts are flowing like light from mountain to ocean to sky to star and this day flaunts its countless possibilities and Creation's hour is yet so early in this world.....
Democrats won the Presidency, increased their totals in the House and the Senate, voters voted out the most conservative Republican candidates+incumbents, key races where Republicans won were extremely hard fought and extremely close and the Republican candidate/incumbent barely won (for example, Michelle Bachman barely won), Karl Rove suffered a live on-air meltdown (LOL LOL LOL), "libertarian" candidates were kicked to the curb at the state and local levels, Green Party candidates won big at the local and state levels, and Florida voted centre-left, delivering a stunning "F--K You" rebuke to Florida Gov. Rick Scott, not only voting for Obama but delivering victories to the overwhelming majority of Democratic nominees and voting against 8 of 11 MAJOR "pro-Republicann" amendments n and voting for 9 of 10 "pro-Democrat amendments".
"Will America ever awaken from Republican Night?" - Apparently yes, the Democratic coalition of minorities, women, labourers, college students, and the young male demographic is a winning Democratic majority coalition on course to grow larger and larger.....
I love Obama.
