Comes The Dawn
Painting by Edward Moran
Comes the Dawn
when the bells of
broken dreams stop
ringing
when the children
of war’s sister
go to sleep
when the teeth of
arrogance are pulled
when the chaste
road is
paved
when the nipples
of time
are pierced
when the sunken ships of
love’s armada
are resurrected
when the window
of silence
is shut
