Landscape

Landscape

I see the contour lines of standing-stones
thrust gently downward from tall cobalt skies
where color shifts from warm to cooler tones
in air so clear my sight intensifies.
While hills encase a sunlit valley graced
by fancy carried broadly on each breeze,
the sighs of nature's lush expanse are traced
by memory's sweet realm of expertise.

The flow of vision's clarity may be
an instance of this healing land's intent.
I spread my arms and gather in to me
the feeling of a world so clearly meant,

a hallowed inner world landscaped to bless
my spirit's need to soar and thereby rest.
