maybe somewhere
a little more
asian – sizing up
chinese bistros
in times square
.

water heater on the
fritz, morning ritual
broken, two lines of
lather lengthen –
an uncivil chill
.

3 guitars
2 voices and a standing
bass – stringing together
the train cars with one
aching solitude
