Nader Birjand in the Land of the Free
When I came to Seattle
from the white heat of Tehran
I couldn't believe it--
so cool and green like
paradise in "The Quran".
And flocks of fat pigeons
strutting in the square--
I couldn't believe it--
all that protein!
