Scene I-
She got drenched
waiting for him
red umbrella in hand
Her eyes stared
expectantly at the door
her thoughts, in trance

Scene II-
He strutted out,
his goals firmly set
Seeing past her affection
On the lookout
for greener pastures
Treating her as a sojourn

Scene III-
Borrowing the red umbrella,
He causally walked,
Leaving her standing by,
her soaked self

Scene IV-
Left with self doubts
she gazed at his bicycle,
even as meandering rivers
of lost opportunities
flowed by his feet

Scene V-
Her affection being undying,
if she’d have to
she’ll get drenched again,
a new red umbrella in hand..
