Cowboy Time


There's a time of day I really like,
When my action plan is formin'
The telephone is quiet
At 4:30 in the mornin'.

The crooks are mostly still in bed;
The banker not yet up,
And the peddlers still slumber
As I fill my coffee cup.

My pony will soon down his oats,
The rising sun will shine,
Let's just say this time of day,
Should be called "Cowboy Time"
