My Own Idaho
Idaho high-land
is blond wheat-dry
and light has taken
the tree's summer verant foilage
and turned it
into ethereal ochre.
Everywhere aspen bells
ring in the breeze;
beautiful still
blue skies,
and brilliant warm sun.
