On Quantum Physics & Spiraling Stories

on quantum physics & spiraling stories

A principle in quantum physics is
that moments take their form
only when observed.
The act of observing collapses the wave so
that potential existence becomes active.
Consciousness is as integral a force
in the universe as magnetism, gravity,
or dark energy.
A question remains on what agency collapses
the wave for the observing moment to take place
a priori (& must ever
in a cause & effect universe,
& even in an Alan Watts simultaneous universe;
in a multi-verse the wave never collapses/
collapses at different moments
& in as myriad forms as there are moments
& still the question remains).
This is not magical metaphysics.
Quantum physics is the most accurate
practical formula ever devised.
One cannot answer the psychological dilemma
of the solipsistic aspect of the physics
as without a psychology
we would have no moment to measure.

shape the wave
attention
sharp
who

moves
it

your
attention
an it claimed by
a moment collapsing

who sings
in your lap

a collard
green perhaps
a curving shape: a gentle palm
a blossom a cup a breast a bough a cloud

a curve slow coiling bowing
dissolving shapeless time

arching backs
rolling round
shoulders
sigh

it leans
close

the miracle of
the rose attends
itself a circle falling
back its trembling enough

to float lonely stars
in a bead of dew;

open systems:

* * *

that hard seed self
the thing certain
men certain
women

give their backs to
an unshining solidity
unmolten boulder moon
planet where no dragons dwell

o Peter o Little Prince
o turtle back
o Merlin
o wheat

what truth to change
a lie of desire
bending
ears

whisper the king
is dead enough
the queen
a cheat

who turns up
their collar pulls
the brim of their gray
hat down the 45 snugly

strapped to their wounded
side heart thigh base
of their spine
o chakras

a certainty then
of a nut a
treed
bear

eyes wide enough when
the last breath slips & ghosts
like notes of a violin mimic long
manic nights filled with thunder & no rain;

conditional realms: shimmer of courage
