Fire Walking
My walk along the Puyallup
will happen today,
for the sun will appear
this afternoon, and I will stroll
amongst the swath of autumn
like a hungry bear near a honey pot,
camera at the ready,
heart open to the sirens of the river,
arms open to the grand transition,
the burst of fire before the winnowing.
