So Dense

So Dense

If Tao is like a river, it is certainly good to know
where the rocks are.”--Ming-Dao Deng.

Geologists ain’t afraid
of no rocks,
because
they love
the hard stuff.

Slim women rock
their tight jeans,
but how do they
get them on?

Blues men gave
musical birth
to both
jazz and rock.

Yeah,
rocks in your head.
but not yet
dead.

You covered the gamut: sedimentary, igneous, and METAMORPHIC.

They inch them up one inch at a time, lying on their backs or standing up and jumping up and down in them, lifing themselves up inches at a time...you covered all the different kind of rocks Glenn! Good to see you back.

Couldn't help smiling at those hard core geologists. Lots of fun.

Love it. We recently lost a hard-core geologist friend. Loved visiting them because of the glorious collection of rocks they have.

Playful poem like the pretty painted rocks. (BTW, it is a pain using your verification thing -- is there simpler methods)

Love the different references by stanza! My hubby, geologist by trading/education, got a kick out of the first stanza! 😊

Lying on the bed, to button and zip them up and then all is good as they stretch quickly haha..

I'm sorry for arriving late to the party, but I do love the image of the painted rocks and I adore your poem, Glenn, especially the opening lines which remind me of the theme from Ghostbusters and 'they love / the hard stuff'. You've squeezed many permutations of the prompt word into your quadrille and I bet you have more rocks up your sleeve!
