Short Love Sonnets #1
Painting by Kathy Ostman-Magnusen
Short Love Sonnets
1.
Unplayed violins mumbled crippled gypsy music,
My drink displayed
a cerise lipstick painted spine.
Her drink, an Alps waterfall with
small abridged stare hugs,
Her wedding-ring show-windowed a white halo.
Her three eyes spun like slot machines.
Spinning never stopped
to ascertain win or lost
I became a model T Ford without a crank,
Lost in a dead man‘s cement block boarded-up garage.
My feet were in a cement Mafia block.
My drowned body would never be found.
