Freckle-Schmeckle
“She had freckles on her but(t) she was nice.”
--Confucius.
Van Johnson was a freckle puss.
and they say he liked to cuss.
Doris Day had tons of freckles too,
so many she didn’t know what to do.
As a kid, Mickey Rooney was freckle-faced,
they say he loved them in his case.

Freckles is the kind of word that lends itself to a fun poem.
My first husband was a red-headed Irishman who was covered in freckles - in fact he looked a bit like the image!
This is wonderful dude, made me smile, and the pic made me laugh. Great treatment of the prompt Glenn!
This Blogger thing seems to boil down to the age of the Blogger software insralled. The older Blogger sites seem to allow anyone to comment. The newer Blogger sites seem to discriminate against older WordPress sites. My site is going on 16-years-old, and I have thousands of poems, stories, art, photographs, and comments on my site. I am not about to update. I am terrified of the proposition. This is over a decade and a half of current work, plus I have things I wrote as long ago as 1960. I would possibly bevome homicidal if I ever list all this creative endeavor. I have been trying to figure out how to back it all up effectively!?
You might be right. I set up my blog 12 years ago, when you and I first met over at MAGPIE TALES.
I can see you in a courtroom, arguing a (successful) defense of freckles. The photo rocks. Reminds me of my cousin, Jimmy.
I never had freckles. Nobody in my family did except an outlaw aunt.
I like that quote from Confucius.
Ha, I think you put words in Confucius' mouth?! Great post, Glenn.
Love this, Glenn. Such a fun word, used so playfully.
Funny, freckly and matter of fact.
I like it.
Got a laugh out of this Glenn.....love the photo! JIM
Good one, Glenn. Love that photo and the quote.
