Antipode

“If freckles were lovely,, and day was night;

if measles were nice, and a lie was truth,’life would

be a delight.”-- e.e. cummings.

Fire

Hot, molten,

Flaming, smoking, burning,

Warmth, destructive, cubes, cicles,

Freezing, chilling, hiding,

Frigid, dry

Ice.

Sand

White, black,

Swirling, blowing, shifting,

Dike, time, ages, wall

Towering, busting, morphing,

Jagged, petrified,

Rock.

Wood

Beautiful, pungent,

Growing, weeping, peeling,

toothpicks, paddles, indestructible, girder,

Strengthening, building, amazing,

Geometric, siding,

Steel.

Nose

Long, wet,

Breathing, sneezing, sniffling,

Roman, pug, hairless, cut

Wagging, thumping, curling,

Happy, angry

Tail.

I like the choices you made for your diamantes, Glenn. I enjoy seeing your view, which is kindly/impartial for each, no matter which side you were looking at.

Prolific bro! Excellent responses to Lisa’s prompt. I went a modified firection. To repeat, nice to see you back in the swing...

Excellent! I didn't know how to write diamantes, but now I do. Great selection of vocabulary to set up your opposites.

Wow, Glenn, you’re back with a vengeance and a whole flotilla of diametes! I love the title and the cummings quote, and my favourite diamentes are the sad/rock and wood/steel.

I like the sand/rock and wood/steel ones best, although all were very good. I too love this form!
"Dike, time, ages, wall" These 4 words...shifting from the sand (ah....pun intended....shifting sands) to rock seemed very strong to me. Then of course, I think of the dikes in the Netherlands and everywhere, built to save lives....and Trump's wall (not rock I know...but the word) and we know what that was built for.
Enjoyed these! And so good to see you back in action, Glenn! I'm so ready for an OLN to see what Buck's been up to!
