Giggle or Weep

Giggle or Weep

“I was brought up by people who tended to
giggle at funerals.”--Emma Thompson

I heard
a pair of babies
giggling loudly.

This continued
for several
hysterical minutes.

I investigated
and found
my wife staring

at youtube,
playing & replaying
a giggle-duel.

I began
to watch
the video too.

“This trumps chaos,”
she said--we both

giggled.

YES.
Laughter is always the best medicine. Trumps chaos, confusion, loss, everything.
Love this little captured moment, Glenn. Thank you!

I know and love that quote from Emma Thompson - I giggle in 'inappropriate' situations too!
I love the way you've conveyed the infectiousness of giggling!

I love this. You can always grouse, cry, rant...but to giggle? That is priceless. Good on your wife for indulging and good on you for joining her.

It is infectious isn't it...one starts and away you go..

Saying goodbye to Bermuda today.....so shall just read a few quadrilles this morning before returning to the glorious early morning on our Bermuda deck. Fly back to Boston this afternoon....so shall finish reading quadrilles in our Boston study tonight, as well as mementos too . But had to read yours today....you never disappoint.
Ah yes, we do indeed need all the giggles we can conjure up to help us through these times! You always, so to speak, hit the nail on the head! :)

Giggling babies and puppies playing will improve any chaotic situation, even if only for a short time.
